My goal at Fresh Start Chiropractic is to provide excellent and personal chiropractic care to you and your family, from expectant mothers to infants and children and to parents and grandparents.

Dr. Fawn graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA with highest honors in October 2006 as Dr. Fawn VanGorder. In January 2007 she opened a practice inside the office of her uncle. After a successful first year she had expanded enough to move to her own location on Main Street in Lock Haven. Now, two years later, Dr. Fawn has moved yet again – and this time with a whole new name. Fresh Start Chiropractic opened on February 1st, 2010, introducing Dr. Fawn for the first time as Dr. Fawn Shaffer. Although it’s a new location with a new name, Dr. Fawn promises to offer the same quality care that she has become known for and hopes to be able to expand her services in the near future.

Dr. Fawn has been a life-long resident of Clinton County, graduating from Lock Haven High School in 1998 and from Lock Haven University in 2002. She enjoys physical activities such as hiking and running, as well as scuba diving. She is also an active member of her local church. She lives in McElhattan with her Weimaraner, Palmer, and her Siamese cat, Peeka.

Dr. Fawn opened her own chiropractic practice in 2007, but she has been a chiropractic patient since she was a teenager. Playing high school softball she suffered a recurring back injury that was treated successfully with chiropractic care provided by her uncle, Dr. Rodney Shaffer of Lock Haven. Dr. Fawn always knew that she wanted to become a doctor and after having such success with chiropractic and after learning about the philosophy behind the profession she made the decision to follow in her uncle’s footsteps and become a doctor of chiropractic.
